Position Overview
Due to our continued success, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to join us. The role primarily involves providing maintenance services for overhead travelling cranes and associated equipment, with occasional installation work, We require someone with a mechanical background and preferably some electrical knowledge/experience.
Role Description
- Conducting service, breakdown and installation work on overhead travelling cranes, hoists, remotes and ancillary equipment.
- Troubleshooting, field service, communication, technical support, maintenance and repair activities.
- Working throughout the Midlands and occasionally other areas of the UK.
Are You the Right Fit?
- A strong background in maintenance engineering, particularly within the crane industry or related field.
- Qualified by experience or holding a recognised qualification in engineering with a mechanical or mechanical and electrical bias.
- Essential electrical knowledge to complement mechanical skills.
- Proficient computer literacy as recording work through tablet technology is required.
- Possession of a full, clean UK driving license, and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midlands and occasionally beyond.
- Reside within a commutable distance from Kingswinford.
Additional qualifications or skills, such as experience with gantries, jibs, overload protection, remote control, and lorry loader cranes, would be beneficial.
