Kimberley Clark an American owned tissue manufacturer, has an ongoing worldwide project to strive for safer manufacturing of tissue.
In some instances this means the areas adjacent to their cranes where the roles of tissue are handled, are fenced off.
The cranes and the rotation of the rolls of tissue are achieved by radio control and all the operations are via electric drives with no manual input.
Crane Care were asked to modify existing cranes which allowed the installation of a dual crab unit and a specially fabricated lifting beam with an electronic rotation device as depicted in the pictures.
